On my cycle trip from Australia to England, I would like to take the opportunity to raise money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) who are a non-profit Organisation in my home town of Leeds. CHSF do some incredible work and support the Congenital Heart Unit at Leeds General Infirmary where they provide valuable equipment, resources and research, as well as a support service for the children affected by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) and their families.
My niece, Violet was born with CHD which meant that at 5 days old, she had to undergo open heart surgery. It is with massive thanks to the expertise of the surgeons and superb aftercare from nurses in ICU at Leeds General Infirmary who were able to save Violets life and allow her to become the vibrant and wonderful young girl that she is today and all of these services are supported by CHSF.
If you would like to donate to CHSF then you can do so through my fundraising page which can be found by clicking the Childrens Heart Surgery Fund image on this page, or the link at the bottom of all pages throughout the website.
All donations are highly appreciated and go to a fantastic cause. Thank you.
